When will it be delivered??

Jeekay's picture

April is almost over and still nothing in the Netherlands despite the promise they made in March?
In the interview they mentioned that everyone should have their pledges by the end of May (another month delay). I wonder if it will be the case...

I've emailed them a couple of times asking them to look at my address in the pledge manager to make sure nothing is wrong with it.

No response yet.

Shinnentai's picture

UK backer here, and I've not seen anything.

Apparently we have to throw more money at them via additional purchases before Prodos will honour pledges >__>

Jeekay's picture

And it is mid-june know.

It´s a pity and suck that there is no reactions on emails and no official presence of Prodos in the forum at all. Probably because of the backer´s problem and they want to prevent shitstorms and, being not there, menad no need to reply ;)
Pity that the forum is very quiet because of that too. The games are good and the minis are excellent. So would be nice if more people would post in the gallery, for example.
Why sending the stuff to the backers take that long is weird. A few days ago I stated a reply about a "bending queen." No reply on my email. But only a few days later I had a new model in the mail. Super fast. I don´t want to complain as the replacment was delivered without problems and super fast. But still uncommon that there was no reply email at all

Russia here. No updates, no replies to e-mails, no nothing.
What pisses me most is the announcement that boiled down to "Buy more stuff and we'll move you up in delivery queue". That alone was such a low blow, that I would have requested a refund then and there, if only these people accepted it.
I actually wanted to buy more Warzone stuff, I really did. But until I get my pledge, Prodos doesn't get a god-damn penny from me! }:/

Jeekay's picture

When you look at the shop, you can see most of the stuff is there.
What they don't sell yet are the Marine Sergeant, Half synthetic (Obj. Marker), Eggs (Obj. Marker), Spear (Obj. Marker), the Female Predator, the Cloaked Pred(but will they ever??), Predator ship (Extra tiles) and the Hardback Rulebook (or is this standard now?).
And than there is the question of the Berserker (this is a KS-only) so probably we will never get that one.

Prodos mentioned the clear preds in the 22nd June update - KS backers should have all received it in the e-mail. Apparently 'wave 2' of the KS will be completed in August, with 'wave 3' being partially sent out at that point.

Personally I still don't have anything - so this 'wave' thing is pretty laughable. Sounds like it's looking like I won't get anything until maybe September or later. For those keeping track that'll be 14 months after the base-game was available on retailer shelves. Also, let's not forget that original delivery for this project was May 2014! XD

Here's the update in case you missed it. As usual with Prodos though, remember that talk is cheap :

Prodos Games Ltd says:
##Tzzt..TZZ....TZZZT##.
This is Prodos HQ calling backers...Prodos HQ calling backers..... We have imminent good news...and lots of it. I just hope you get before the xenos over-run your positions.
Firstly sorry for the long radio silence. We have been inundated with changes, approval processes and administrative work due to exciting changes in Prodos. I can’t say much at the moment but will keep you updated as the pieces fall into place, however we believe that these changes will result in a faster approval process from Fox and smoother handling of any licenses run by Prodos. Part of this is due to a sea change in management which we see as a very positive step for us as the new manager is a merchandising veteran with strong links to 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros Entertainment and Universal Studio.
Now about AvP:THB KS
1. Clear Preds in Production. We are GO! on one of my favourite models. These models created no end of trouble for us as designers but I’m very pleased with how these have worked out. Prototypes of clear Preds have been approved and they are going to mass production as I speak. All going well, any parcels shipped after the 1st July will include these amazing models.
2. We’ve heard your calls for urgent reinforcements to fight back the horrors in the dark and they’re here! Multi pose marines will be dropping from orbit at the same time as the Predators.
3. For you backers out there that were looking to add some atmosphere to your games, the corridors are being sent to external 3D printing company and we’re looking forward to production on these starting on the 15th July.
4. Wargaming Book – As of the 1st of July, Warzone Ressurection, Prodos other licensed game will start an open BETA. This is important to AvP as the core game will share the same mechanics as expected. If you are interested in learning more about these core mechanics please sign up to newsletter at shop.prodosgames.com for more info. Once the BETA is over the book will be sent to print along with the AvP supplement. Just to make it very clear, essentially you’re getting the best of both worlds. You get the core rules for Warzone 2.0 and the supplement for AVP....Both in Hardback with all the facehugging goodness! I wonder what sort of Alien would be made from a Face-hugged Golgotha would look like (http://shop.prodosgames.com/dark-legion/37-golgotha.html)
5. Lastly, what good would the new marines be, if we had no way of getting them to you. Dropship’s are currently being master cast in 3D print as we speak and we expect to have the master with us 1st week July. Pictures to follow, but for now, here is link to final 3D sculpt.
https://skfb.ly/Pr7U
The dropship ended up being larger than expected, however our designers did amazing work and I believe it has definitely been worth the wait. Due to the cost of production, the Dropship will be limited to 1000 casts ONLY and will come with a certificate. Just to be 100% clear, we are only planning on casting 1000 of these monsters, so if you want one...or two, head over to the store and Pre-order them now! The oher option is to pick one up from us at one of the shows we will be covering (stock dependant).
6. Despite the regular requests, we’ve still got several people who haven’t completed their pledge managers. Next week we will post up a list of postcodes of all backers that have yet to complete their pledge manager (i.e. missing names and surnames and in some cases not completed at all), so can I ask that if you see your postcode, PLEASE log in to pledge manager at : calc.prodos.co.uk and update it. If you can’t get into your pledge manager, please contact service@prodos.co.uk
7. We now have a revised estimated that wave 2 will be completed by August (with part of wave 3 being issued). I understand that we have missed another deadline and I understand that people are still waiting on packages however we have a great team here who are pulling us closer to the finish line every day.
We are almost there, thanks for your support. Prodos HQ out

Ah, so the redesign of the Dropship is confirmed. Good news :D

ravenbraid's picture

I have received absolutely nothing in the US, no replies to emails, etc. If I ever see these guys at a convention they'll be calling the police over the confrontation!

Shinnentai's picture

I see Prodos are now selling AvP at 30%-40% off. So instead of backing the Kickstarter campaign 2 and a half years ago I could have just bought AvP now, and received it both faster and for less money!

Still, if I ever get anything from my Kickstarter pledge, I've got that exclusive beserker predator figure to look forward to XD

shedim's picture

Will the 3d terrain be available for purchase for non-KS-backers, too?

Jeekay's picture

I actually received my game today. Now I only have to check what is missing.

skibble's picture

AU here.

Mines come in to.

Some damage to the Packing boxes but no damage to the minis or gamebox.

Everything on the inventory sheet is accounted for and the deformed resin responds well to a hot (But not boiling) bath, followed by a cold dip.

I'm in the UK, and have seen nothing. I've written to them a couple of times, but not had any response, engagement or anything. Evidently a few people are receiving their pledges, but I'm not hopeful given we're 27 months past their delivery date.

The saddest thing is that I backed this because it was a UK-based company near me and I wanted to support local effort and actually I've just been massively let down. I think I just want my money back now given it looks like I'll never actually get the game. Their registered premises in the UK is less than an hour's drive away from my house, all of the local game shops have several copies of the game, and yet they can't get one to me.

It's been made clear that Prodos consider fulfilling AVP KS pledges comes bottom of their 'to do' list. They prioritise new AVP sales through their online store & to retailers (money for Prodos), casting models for 3rd parties (money for Prodos), and creating new product lines (money for Prodos). If they have any spare capacity after those activities then it goes to fulfilling AVP KS pledges.

Also I should perhaps make you aware that Prodos is in fact a Polish operation: while there is a UK company, very little (if any) real activity now takes place through it - seems like it was set up primarily to run the Kickstarter campaign (run it, not fulfill it XD). Kickstarter pledges & retail sales are sent from Poland. If you search for 'AVP Dakka' you'll see an interesting (and huge) thread on the Dakka Dakka forum about the AVP KS campaign.

DokorNick's picture

Thanks Shinnentai. I'd kinda figured that the UK business was a front for the Polish business, but didn't know this at the time. That truly is a massive thread over on Dakka Dakka. Will have a look through.

Is everyone just having to sit tight and hope, do you know, or has anyone followed up through legal channels?

netminder69's picture

I understand the frustration. I too have received nothing. I'm in the US. Needless to say I will never back anything from Prodos ever again and likely not buy anything from them ever again. Which sucks, because the whole AvP thing are two of my most favorite properties ever and having a miniatures game had me super jazzed. I would have dropped a crap ton of money on expansions and miniatures for their proposed skirmish game of it. Maybe I'll luck out and they'll sell the line to someone else because I ust cannot fathom giving this company any (more) of my money.

irish1983's picture

Its probably because all of you that havent got it yet never backed the KS or never updated your pledge management info. IE they cant ship to you unless you did that. Waiting "years" to figure that out makes you look like liars or trolls (or worse). i dont personally know a single KS backer who hasnt gotten their stuff long ago (excpet for the cloaked preds which arent in production yet).

If I was Prodos I would love if none of you ever backed anything I veer did again because then you wouldnt be stinking up every social media avenue you can in 5 minutes time instead of reading the legal agrrement you signed over at KS and checking up on your profile.

Seriously I have been biter at a miniatures companies before and I understand your frustration; but be proactive instead of wasting your time (and mine, but someone needed to call you all out).

So your assumption is that a bunch of people have just been bad-mouthing Prodos for the past two years for no reason at all? Sure.

For the record, here's a screen grab of the latest backer-only update from Prodos, where they say they're aware that backers are still waiting, and that in some cases Prodos are delaying shipment on anything until the entire order is ready:

http://www.shinnentai.com/WAS/Prodos%20message.jpg

Here's a screen grab of my pledge manager. As you can see the address is filled out, as it has been for 2.5 years + :

http://www.shinnentai.com/WAS/Prodos%20Address.JPG

The pledge manager itself reads 'Awaiting', which I'm given to understand from other backers means it's complete and waiting for Prodos to fulfill. I have yet to receive anything at all, so I assume I'll be waiting until they figure out how to make the Clear preds before I get any of it. (apparently the resin they were planning to use is now banned in the EU for being toxic XD).

Meanwhile the base game has been on retail shelves for around 18 months, Prodos did a firesale on the range last summer at 30-40% off (so less than Kickstarter prices), and Prodos have admitted to sending some backers two lots of pledge rewards, yet sending anything to me is apparently too costly.

netminder69's picture

Or we did back it and filled out the pledge manager (ad double and triple checked it) and they haven't shipped it to us. And also been "proactive" by contacting them and having all messages through all channels go unanswered. But hey, good looking out for "calling us out". Obvious troll is obvious.

Look your assuming "waiting" meaning that the ball is in their court is on you. Im not saying that there isnt a chance you got lost in the shuffle; but literally no one I know in person (even if it was just an aquantance at a shop) does not have their stuff (some of them had to email etc to get it but none of them told me it was hard or that it was time consuming). Posting about it in the forums is like calling up any customer service phone number and just being rude to a recording. Thats wasting your time. I honestly wish you get it figured out.

netminder69's picture

Well, happy day, finally someone did something! I sent a message through their Damaged and Mispacked contact form with a photo of an empty table and they're finally shipping something to me. Would have been nice if customer service had actually did something. But hey, it's something.

On one hand you posted that you are getting a reply and a trackig number for your stuff so that good. On the other damaged and misspackaged is customer service; so they did do somehting to help you.

netminder69's picture

I checked my sent emails. 24 emails to customerservice@prodos.com with no reply. I also contacted Ninja Division who was used as the US distributor and I did get a reply from them, but sadly they couldn't help me. That's not customer service. That's a joke. But at least I finally got it.

irish1983's picture

All the emails were sent from a single account right? Just maybe it was your email and their system not working out. I had a marine with a missing arm and after i fille dout the form I got an entire set of marine arms a month later in the mail (they did not respond to the form, but I have had them respond before).

It could have also been that you didnt provide appropriate information to even get a response. I dont like to assume as I can't read your emails, and I am not "making excuses for them". I just have never meet anyone in person once who hasnt had Prodos solve their issue (me personally included). I have a group of guys who love warzone and have never even played AVP and they also are happy with the service they got.

Shinnentai's picture

Yes, as far as I know the Warzone Kickstarter pledges were fulfilled - though wave 2 took Prodos around a year to send out.

It's a fairly commonly held belief among the AvP backers that the AvP Kickstarter was used at least partly to fund wave 2 of the Warzone Kickstarter.

irish1983's picture

No idea. I play both games though. I have soooo many xenomrphs to paint....
