using less material = saving money
Prodos should be sorting those KS backers of this game who STILL haven't had anything yet even after 3 years, instead of punting out V2

it's Prodos who should be commenting on the KS issues and the 3 year wait some are experiencing.
Dont feed the troll.

On the real topic they changed the scale of the models? Do you have some comparison shots?
Wow - that's pretty noticeable!
Makes me worry about the scale of the cloaked predators o.o
Yeah I saw some more comparision pictures of the preds over on BGG - looked pretty much the same.
I don't *think* anyone has the clear preds yet (I'm hoping Prodos will send me my Kickstarter pledge once these are ready!), but I saw an image of the sprue posted over at DakkaDakka in the middle of March so hopefully not much longer to wait!!!
Could we get some side-by-side shots of the 1st and 2nd ed marines please, Gacu? (perhaps with some coins under the new ones so the bases are level with the old?)
Can't really tell scaling from the close-up shots as the 2nd ed guys are in front!
Thanks for the pics - not as bad as I thought from the smartgun comparison - some of which must be down to the male/female models. As you say, the rifles seem to hae shrunk quite a bit though!
I think in a big force on the tabletop they mix okay - especially once painted. Just not together in the same squad.
Yeah I am actually ok with the scale change after seeing them on bases. The MG model is the most noticeable, and I can always imagine thats just a female marine.
EDIT: By the way I love the green stuffed bases Good job with those.
Hi,
Most of you already got the AVP 2.0 boardgame. What do you think about it overall? In my opinion it looks great, I like the new format and minis.
One thing that bothers me is the scale of the minis. Aliens and Predators look ok (despite being a bit smaller than the original versions), but the biggest change are the marines. It looks like they're about 20% smaller which looks atrocious if you compare them to the originals. They're at least a head shorter, the guns are smaller it just looks out of place if you put them side by side. I don't think I will include them in my standard USCM army, because it ruins the aesthetic.
I wanted to ask PRODOS why they decided to make them smaller in the first place? What was the idea behind this?
I already have about 20 marines (and 10 commandos) in my collection, I wanted these 5 as something special and unique, but it seems they won't see any action due to being dwarfish in size (albeit the scale is better in comparison to Predators, but I think it's too late to change that, ain't it?)
