I think a lot of these models were exclusive to the kickstarter. If you really want to see them, you can occasionally find some of them on ebay.

Hopefully they will release those items to the rest of us, or some variant of them, at some point in the future.

I am interested and seeing these characters. I don't see any of them in the shop? I've seen the characters in the 2nd edition booklet but not in the shop?

@Assur
I think my son used Mirrormen wisely, to protect unit escorting target. If not for lucky scatter from Ashigaru mortar, they would probably done more. Yes, they are vulnerable to templates (but in this game most things are - flamers are horrible), but with Preemptive Strike or Infiltrate they can be placed out of the harms way. There are ways for opponent to deal with them, but he must allocate resources and time, and while doing that he may lose objectiv or two from his sight. :)

Good report and good pics. Liked the scenario. Thanks for the time put into this.

Thanks for the report, looking forward to reading more.

As for the Cybertronic list, Mirrormen are probably the only unit in the army I struggle to use effectively. There are just so many ways to ignore their skills (CC, templates, even simply turning the shooter so that he doesn't see Mirrormen using Chrome-Mirrored Suits).

I've seen it mentioned on FB that Ilian vs Brotherhood starter is next to be realeased, but it is impossible to say when exactly. Initially it was supposed to be released before all the vehicles and we're still waiting.

The 2.2 errata is out, but I still have a few new questions:

1. Emancipator Combat Aircraft: How exactly does MG-40 LMG's weapon ability work? The rules (Making a ranged attack, point 1.1) say that all shots are made at the same time, so the ability shouldn't work at all as there are no "secondary" shots.

2. Can the Voltigeur release its drones already flying? The rules say that "range to the [flying] model is calculated to the base on the ground" so technically the B2B condition is met, but I'm not sure if this was the intention and wanted to make sure.

3. Holy Sentinels' Furious Zeal - These model´s Close Combat weapons gain ST and ROA(+1). There seems to be some grammar mistake here - does the St and Roa bonus apply to a single model or to the entire squad (before the errata it was a single model)? [EDIT: found the answer on Facebook - all Holy Sentinels get the St/RoA bonus]

4. Nepharite's By My Will - does it also affect characters attached to Undead Legionnaire squads?

Of course models can make both close combat and ranged attacks during one turn. But if models can do all types of attacks in one tile it seems to overpower them, as I see it. Not that much for marines, but for a predator hunter this means 6 attacks with some good chances to hit. I just can't understand how aliens can win with such rules. But, sure, may be I'm wrong. Only a lot of playtests can give an answer - or somebody of authors of the game, they've done a lot of playtests already.

Our group is using the rule "a ranged attack from, or into, and engaged tile with a friendly force suffers a -10 penalty to RS." and "A ranged attack through any engaged tile is -2 per tile". The second may seem strange, but if you are targeting something in particular far away, and there are things you want to avoid, you can maneuver and change position to avoid hitting those things (even if they are 2 enemies fighting). However, if you are firing from an engaged tile, a -10 is merited because a predator or alien on your square is going to put your shooter under some serious duress. And firing into a tile with a friendly where dynamic close combat is happening will require a surgical shot.

On the second point: we have been playing where marines and predators CAN do close combat AND ranged skill during a turn. They are separate action types. However, that shot is at -10 (because you are firing from an engaged tile), so its practically garbage. This is why paroxism is so good, it gets multiple weapon attacks in close combat at a high skill value. I hope I am right on that one. That warrants an example in the rulebook on the right way to play because it is so hard to understand what the rules intend.
